Training Christian Scouts in Damascus

In Damascus, our project is equipping more than 250 Christian scouts with the skills, character, and sense of responsibility they need to serve their families, parish, and wider society.

Young people have an important role to play in the future of their communities. In Damascus, our project is equipping more than 250 Christian scouts with the skills, character, and sense of responsibility they need to serve their families, parish, and wider society.

Through this training, the scouts are learning what it means to be leaders who care for those around them. They are being encouraged to support their parents through traditional handicrafts and practical work, while also serving some of the most vulnerable members of their community.

The scouts have opportunities to help care for the elderly and children living in special homes, offering their time, energy, and compassion to those who need it most. These experiences teach them that leadership is not simply about holding a position—it is about serving others.

The program also prepares these young men and women to become positive leaders in their schools, workplaces, churches, and communities. In a society facing significant challenges, there is a growing need for young people who are prepared to lead with integrity, compassion, and a strong commitment to their community.

By investing in the Christian scouts of Damascus today, we are helping develop a generation that can strengthen its families, support its parish, serve those in need, and contribute to a stronger future for Syrian society.

These young people are not simply preparing for tomorrow—they are already making a difference today.
