September 2026: Updates From The Field
Your support provided food, education, clean water, and practical skills across Kenya, Lebanon, Nigeria, and Syria — from the next maize harvest to children returning to school and restored water systems.
This past month, your support helped provide food, education, clean water, and practical skills to vulnerable communities across Kenya, Lebanon, Nigeria, and Syria. From preparing the next maize harvest in Kenya to helping children return to school in South Lebanon and restoring water systems in Syria, these projects are meeting immediate needs while creating opportunities for families and communities to become more self-sufficient. Here are a few of the ways your generosity is making a difference.
Here are the highlights from September:
KENYA
Harvest Providing Food and Supporting Education
A portion of the harvest from last month has been sold to meet immediate needs, including school fees, books, food, and preparations for the coming farming season. Another 34 bags have been set aside as a food reserve for vulnerable families in Migori, Narok, and Kajiado counties, providing support through the months before the October rains and the next harvest. Together, the harvest is helping provide food security while supporting approximately 30 students with educational needs.

Preparing for an Even Greater Harvest
Looking ahead, the Kenya team has already prepared 18 acres of land for the next farming season. The project expects to harvest approximately 120 bags of maize early next year—an increase of nearly 54% over this year's harvest. The new maize crop is already showing good growth, and the team will continue cultivating and applying fertilizer to support healthy development and improve the expected yield.

Expanding the Farm for Long-Term Food Security
The team is also expanding the farm's banana plantation, with some of the banana plants already in the ground. Additional planting will continue as the necessary fertilizer becomes available. By growing a variety of crops and continuing to improve the land each season, the project is building a more sustainable source of food and income that can support vulnerable families and students for years to come.

LEBANON
Helping Children Return to School
As a new school year begins in South Lebanon, The Blessing Projects is helping more than 80 Christian children return to the classroom with the resources they need to succeed. TBP is contributing toward the salaries of several teachers while also providing essential school supplies and stationery for students. By supporting both educators and families, this project is helping children continue their education and giving them greater stability during a difficult season.

Expanding Access to Fresh Bread
The final phase of our bakery project in South Lebanon is now underway, providing fresh bread and manakish to Christians living in communities that continue to face significant challenges. The Blessing Projects will donate the bakery's two large ovens to the villages of Rmeish and Deir Mimmes, allowing local communities to continue producing and distributing food after the project concludes. More than 2,700 Christians across three villages will continue benefiting from this sustainable source of food each month.

Creating a Sustainable Source of Food
The final phase of our chicken farm and vegetable project in South Lebanon is focused on creating a sustainable source of food for Christians who have remained in their communities. The Blessing Projects will transfer the farm to St. Georges Monastery, where the monastery will continue caring for the chickens and distributing eggs to Christians staying in the monasteries. Vegetables will be sold to local villagers for less than half the usual price, while eggs and olive oil from the farm will be distributed to families in need. More than 550 Christians will continue benefiting from this project as the monastery carries the work forward.

NIGERIA
Investing in Education in Miango
We are continuing our commitment to education in Nigeria by supporting 50 Christian secondary students in Miango, Plateau State. Now in its third year, the program is helping provide school fees, JSCE exam costs, and books so students can remain in school and continue their education despite the challenges facing their communities. By investing in these students today, we are helping create greater opportunities for them and laying the foundation for stronger families and communities in the future.

SYRIA
Equipping Farmers and Plumbers with Practical Skills
Our team in North Syria has launched a plumbing training program for approximately 45 Christian farmers and plumbers, teaching participants how to install water pumps and extend irrigation pipes to their fields. The program is helping farmers improve their ability to grow crops while also training young plumbers in basic skills they can use to take on small jobs and earn an income. More than 45 families, representing approximately 250 Christians, will benefit as these skills help strengthen livelihoods and allow families to remain and build their futures in their communities.

Restoring Access to Water
Our team launched a water supply and pumping project to help more than 280 Christians return to their homes in a community where infrastructure was destroyed during the war. TBP is installing water tanks and pumps to draw water from wells and deliver it to homes and nearby fields, providing families with access to an essential resource for daily life and agriculture. By restoring basic infrastructure, this project is helping make it possible for displaced Christians to return home and rebuild their community.

That wraps up this month's Updates From The Field!
Thank you for continuing to stand with us and the communities we serve. Your generosity allows our teams to respond to urgent needs while investing in projects that can continue making an impact long after our initial involvement. Whether it's a harvest providing food, a student receiving an education, or a community regaining access to water, every project is an opportunity to bring hope and build a stronger future. We are grateful to have you with us in this work.
