October 2025: Updates From The Field

As October came to a close, we were reminded of the strength and perseverance of the communities we serve. From celebrating student graduations and supporting farmers in Kenya, to launching new livelihood projects in Syria and Lebanon, your prayers and partnership are helping transform lives.

Here are the highlights from October!

KENYA

Education Empowerment - Green Peak Academy

This October, 32 students graduated from Green Peak Academy, supported through our education initiatives. They completed Kenya's Competency-Based Curriculum, which emphasizes practical skills, creativity, and Christian values. To help families overcome barriers, The Blessing Projects provided uniforms, textbooks, and nutritious daily meals sourced from our community farm in Osingo Village.

Agricultural Growth in Osingo Village

Our team conducted a follow-up assessment in Osingo Village to evaluate the progress of agricultural initiatives launched earlier this year. Crops planted with the new seeds are thriving, thanks to improved farming techniques and better-quality resources. Farmers also reported the first successful harvest of sweet potatoes planted in June.

LEBANON

Bakery Project Phase One

In Lebanon, our team is launching a large-scale bakery initiative to support more than 2,000 Christians each month in an area surrounded by five Christian villages heavily affected by the recent war. The bakery will provide affordable, fresh bread and create local jobs, helping families stay rooted in their communities. Equipped with modern machinery, this project is designed for long-term impact, aiming to serve over 25,000 Christians per year.

NIGERIA

First Harvest in Nigeria

This October marked the first of many harvests from the 135 farms established through The Blessing Projects team in Nigeria. The inaugural harvest produced an abundant yield of maize, a vital crop for both food and income within these farming communities.

SYRIA

Sewing Project Phase One

In North Syria, our team is launching a sewing initiative to empower 35 Christian women — many of them widows of the Syrian Civil War — with the skills and tools to build their own small businesses. Each month, around 35 women will complete the program, with an estimated 2,000 Christians benefiting from its impact over the next four months.
