May 2026: Updates From The Field

Each month, your support helps bring practical relief, long-term sustainability, and hope to vulnerable Christian communities facing crisis across the Middle East and Africa. Below are the highlights from last month, showing how lives are being strengthened through food security, education, and community development initiatives on the ground.

Here are the highlights from May:

LEBANON

Bakery Providing Long-Term Support

As the conflict and economic crisis continue in Lebanon, our team has launched its first bakery in South Lebanon to provide sustainable support for Christian families in the region.

Serving five major Christian towns, the bakery produces bread, manakish, pizza, croissants, and other essential baked goods, supporting more than 1,800 Christians each week. With two additional bakeries currently in development, this initiative is helping strengthen communities committed to remaining in their homeland.

Expanding Kitchen Program

Our kitchen program continues to provide critical support to Christian families determined to remain in South Lebanon despite ongoing hardship. Now serving more than 1,000 meals every 10 days, providing nourishment to over 3,800 Christians throughout the month.

To meet growing needs, two additional kitchens are set to launch soon, extending this life-sustaining support to more than 7,000 additional Christians across the region.

Emergency Food Distribution

This month, The Blessing Projects delivered more than 8 tons of food and essential supplies to Christian families in the villages of Rmeish and Debel. Milk, flour, rice, water, vegetables, and canned goods were distributed to support approximately 8,500 Christians affected by the ongoing crisis. This vital aid is helping families remain in their communities, stand firm in their faith, and endure the challenges of war with hope.

KENYA

Maize Farming Project Update

Our maize farming project in Kenya continues to make great progress. Twenty-five vulnerable farmers successfully planted and cultivated 15 acres of maize, using recommended farming practices and fertilizer applications to maximize growth and productivity.

The crop is expected to be harvested in late July or early August, with a projected yield of approximately 80 bags of maize. This harvest will help strengthen food security for beneficiary families while also providing surplus crops that can be sold to generate income and support long-term sustainability.

SYRIA

School Support in the Suburbs of Damascus

In the suburbs of Damascus, we are supporting about 250 Christian students through school supplies, food, and water assistance, while also employing more than 7 teachers. Students receive after-school tutoring, with summer programs planned for over 300 children.

This initiative strengthens Christian families by supporting education and helping them remain rooted in their communities despite ongoing hardship in Syria.
