April 2026: Updates From The Field

April was a month of continued urgency and expansion across our projects in Lebanon, and a focus on education projects in Kenya and Nigeria. In Lebanon alone, our efforts have made a massive impact over the last few months, both in the South and in Beirut, as we continue standing alongside communities determined to remain in their homeland despite ongoing conflict and hardship.

Here are the highlights from April:

LEBANON

In April, our work in South Lebanon expanded to support more than 15,000 Christians who are either remaining in their homes or have been displaced to safer areas along the edge of the southern district. As conflict continues and access becomes increasingly restricted, these efforts are critical in helping families stay rooted in their communities.

Emergency Food and Water Distribution

We began the month with a large-scale distribution of rice, flour, and clean water to over 150 families, reaching approximately 1,500 Christians. These families are actively choosing to remain in the South despite ongoing danger, and this support is helping sustain them through extremely difficult conditions.

Sanitary Aid for the Elderly

Due to road blockages and heavy bombing, access to basic goods has become severely limited. In response, we provided sanitary supplies to an elderly care home in the South, supporting around 30 families. This project ensured that some of the most vulnerable individuals received essential items for health, hygiene, and dignity.

Feeding Through Our South Lebanon Kitchen

We launched a large-scale kitchen in the South that is now producing over 750 meals per week, feeding more than 3,000 Christians throughout April. This initiative is providing consistent, reliable nourishment to families struggling to remain in their homeland.

Beirut Clinic Ongoing Care

Our clinic in Beirut continues to operate at full capacity, serving approximately 150 patients each week and around 600 throughout the month, all because of the dedicated efforts of 20 doctors. In the midst of ongoing conflict, the clinic is providing critical care for war-related injuries, along with basic medical services and dental hygiene support. This consistent, accessible care is meeting urgent needs while offering stability and dignity to those affected.

Emergency Food Parcel Distribution in Beirut

In Beirut, we completed a targeted food relief distribution reaching the most vulnerable families in the city. A total of 200 food parcels were delivered, each containing essential rations to support daily needs.

Our team prioritized households with elderly individuals, widows, and families in urgent need of assistance. This distribution is estimated to have impacted around 700 individuals.

KENYA

Back to School Support

Our team in Kenya successfully implemented a Back-to-School support initiative aimed at assisting vulnerable students from Migori and Narok Counties. The program targeted 76 learners drawn from different schools, all from disadvantaged backgrounds. The objective was to ease the financial burden on families and ensure that students return to school adequately equipped for the new academic term.

NIGERIA

Year Two Supporting 100 Vulnerable Women

This month marks the beginning of the second year for the 100 women we are sponsoring at the Nigeria Teachers' Institute, Miango Study Centre. Through this program, we are covering their tuition and equipping them with access to education that many have long been denied.

The impact of this investment reaches far beyond the classroom. As these women are trained and empowered, they will go on to educate their own children and invest in the next generation within their communities, multiplying the effect of this opportunity for years to come.
