August 2025: Updates From The Field

Throughout August, our teams on the ground continued to stand alongside Christian communities in some of the world's hardest places. From rebuilding sacred spaces in Lebanon, to equipping farmers in Kenya, to feeding families in Syria, and empowering women in Nigeria, each project reflects your prayers and partnership at work.

Here are the highlights from August!

LEBANON

Reconstruction of the Latin Church

Amid the devastation of war in South Lebanon, the Latin Church was extremely damaged, leaving thousands without a place to gather, worship, and find strength together. Our team worked tirelessly to reconstruct the church, restoring not only a building but also hope for an entire community. After reopening in August, more than 1,500 Christians in the area are grateful to once again have a house of prayer and fellowship.

New Chicken Farm

In South Lebanon, our new chicken farm is raising 250 chickens as the first step in a larger project to support struggling Christian families. This project will create around 15 local job opportunities and make affordable goods available to more than 700 Christians each month.

KENYA

Training and Equipping Farmers

Our team supported 80 local farmers with seeds, fertilizer, and practical training on sustainable and efficient farming techniques, equipping them with knowledge to improve productivity for years to come.

From Chicks to Sustainable Income

We met with 54 members of local self-help groups, providing them with both training and resources to promote self-reliance through poultry farming. Each group received ten one-month-old chicks, along with practical instruction in care, feeding, and market management.

NIGERIA

Equipping 100 Women to Teach and Lead

The 100 vulnerable women we are sponsoring in Nigeria started their journey toward earning the Nigerian Certificate in Education. They begin their one-year program at the National Teachers Institute, Miango Study Centre. These women come from communities often neglected by the government, yet today they step forward with hope, dignity, and purpose.

SYRIA

New Kitchen Project

Each week on the Syrian coast, more than 150 families — around 700 Christians — are receiving meals through our new community kitchen. Over the next six months, this will provide nourishment and stability to more than 3,000 people.
