April 2025: Updates From The Field

April has been full of momentum, with exciting projects taking shape and reaching completion across the globe. We're so grateful for your support and can't wait to share what's been happening.

NIGERIA

We recently empowered 135 women in Irigwe Chiefdom, Bassa Local Government Area of Plateau, by donating maize seeds, soybeans, rice, herbicides, fertilizers, and essential farming tools. Most of these women are widows, survivors of devastating attacks that claimed the lives of their husbands and tore through their community. This project is more than aid — it's a step toward independence.

Another exciting aspect of the project is that our project manager, Lawrence, was able to secure two tractors, which will be used to cultivate farmland for the women who received the donated agricultural kits.

SYRIA

The Blessing Projects team recently sprang into action to support around 200 families who escaped the war in their coastal Syrian villages. We delivered tents, sleeping kits, vital medications, and food packages — all the essentials they needed to survive and rebuild. Our goal is clear: to keep Christian families rooted in their homeland.

After her husband was brutally murdered by ISIS remnants, Katrina, a Christian widow in Eastern Syria, and her two daughters became targets. This past month, we successfully relocated Katrina and her daughters to a safe location near the Syrian-Iraqi border, far from the Turkish-controlled areas where extremist groups operate. The family is now secure.

IRAQ

This past month, ISIS launched a brutal attack on Assyrian Christians in Duhok, Iraq, during their Assyrian Day celebrations. Five people were seriously injured. The TBP team immediately stepped in, visiting the injured in the hospital and then traveling to their village to restore dignity and stability. With the water system destroyed during the conflict, we helped bring clean water back to their homes and fields.

In North Iraq, powerful local authorities confiscated farmland from Christian families. Now, these lands are finally being returned. Our project will restore the right of 30 farmers to cultivate their soil again — creating over 200 jobs, supporting 1,100 family members, and breathing life back into three Christian villages near the border.

LEBANON

This month, we distributed 35,000 plants to 500 Lebanese Christian families — supporting over 2,500 individuals in the process. This project has the power to sustain lives for years to come.
