Nigeria
Nigeria is facing one of the world's most severe humanitarian crises, with 90% of all Christians killed globally each year losing their lives there. The Boko Haram insurgency, armed conflicts, and banditry have displaced over 3.6 million people, with 8.3 million in urgent need of assistance. More than 4.4 million Nigerians are experiencing food insecurity, and 2.2 million children suffer from severe acute malnutrition.
Initiatives
2025
Sewing School (January 2025 – Present)
Established a sewing school to train young women in tailoring. We provided 8 sewing machines to train the first round of girls, giving them not only training but also the tools to succeed and start small businesses.
Chicken Farming (February 2025 – Present)
We have empowered 100 young girls and children of widowed mothers from 10 vulnerable communities through hands-on training in poultry farming, providing each with 5 chicks to raise for egg production and income.
Women's Education Sponsorship (March 2025 – Present)
TBP continues sponsoring 100 women at the Nigeria Teachers' Institute by covering tuition costs and providing educational opportunities that empower women to invest in future generations of their communities.
Agriculture Project (April 2025 – Present)
We secured access to over 250 acres of farmland and equipped 135 widows with land access, training, seeds, fertilizers, herbicides, and essential farming tools. This project aims to help feed over 2,300 people.
