Jordan
Amman, Jordan, has become a key refuge for people displaced by conflict, particularly from neighboring Syria and Iraq. Jordan is home to over 1.3 million Syrian refugees, many living in dire conditions in both urban areas and camps. Christian communities in Jordan also face unique challenges, as religious minorities often experience economic hardship and limited access to opportunities.
Initiatives
2025
Community Kitchen and Empowering Christian Women (June 2025 – Present)
We prepared a kitchen in Amman to host cooking sessions for around 50 Christian women from Iraq, enabling them to gain skills and start working from home to support their families after living in poverty since ISIS invaded their villages.
Medical Support for Christian Iraqi Refugees (October 2025)
The TBP team in Amman covered the costs of hundreds of medications for around 75 Christian Iraqis who fled their villages after ISIS invaded and destroyed their homes. In collaboration with the Syriac Orthodox Church in Amman, we provided ongoing assistance.
