KATIE GORKA

Katie Gorka is the Director for Civil Society and the American Dialogue at the Heritage Foundation’s Edwin J. Feulner Institute. From 2009 to 2014 she served as the executive director of the Westminster Institute, a think tank addressing threats posed by extremist ideologies. She was President of Threat Knowledge Group from 2014 to 2017, providing training and expertise on irregular warfare and terrorism to the FBI, US Army Special Forces, Marine Corps, and law enforcement. From 2017 to 2019, Katie served as senior advisor in the Office of Policy at the Department of Homeland Security, where she focused on prevention of terrorism and targeted violence. She is a member of the American Council on Women, Peace and Security Strategy.
